Happenings

We have had a lot going on the past few weeks, so here's a quick run-down of the fun.

Mimi (my Grandmother) turned 100 on September 1. We all celebrated together last Friday. It's crazy to think that the two of them are almost 100 years apart. Mimi is a sweet, sweet lady and we're lucky to be related to her. We love you, Mimi! Here's a picture of Ethan giving Mimi a high five.

Then Ethan had to get geared up for the work week (read: daycare at Ms. Loretta's). He looks like he needs a pocket protector and a briefcase. This was the day I packed his bag full of who-knows-what and forgot the essentials, such as nipples for the bottles and baby food.

Ethan has also been busy moving about, pulling up on things, and basically scaring the you-know-what out of us. Here he is, trying to find additional resources for his dissertation. We should probably get his mullet trimmed before his big presentation.

Thanks to our friend, Maggie, we now have some big boy toys. This lion and the jump-up thing have provided hours of fun. Thanks to the jump-up, I was able to visit the restroom alone and at a normal speed the other day.

We also got to visit with our friends Kristen, Katelyn, and Collin this weekend. There were about 1 million toys available, but Ethan and Katelyn wanted the same one. Here they are, in a stand-off.

And finally, we took a bike ride to breakfast on Saturday. Nothing says "Good Morning!" like eggs, bacon, and a full diaper halfway through the meal. Thanks to Aunt E. and Uncle K. for the Duke t-shirt he's sporting. Go Blue Devils!

  1. I totally see Katie faces in E in the picture with him wearing the green shirt/tie and in the one when he's in jumpy thing. He's growing up so quickly and he's so darn cute. Happy Birthday, Mimi! [could my comment be any less coherent and more choppy? nope, it couldn't.]
